Monastery Wall

More winter storms mean more dead trees coming down in the road.

It is great fun that many of the resident monks now have sufficient chainsaw skill and experience for a crew to get out there and, in one day, bring the road back to fully functional!

Life has such a sense of play as it covers some boards of the courtyard bridge with ice but not others, creating a wonderful pattern.

The more muted tones of winter allow this lovely yellow tree to “pop” in the meadow.

Within minutes of planting new flowers in the garden, the bees arrive to offer their approval and participation.

Certain times of day and background light help to remind us just how beautiful the Monastery building is.
