It seems to be universal that we humans are drained out when we are listening to a hateful, demoralizing conversation in the head, and lit-up when we are in a loving, encouraging, mentoring conversation.
Keeping a commitment to show up in lovingkindness for our friends in Kantolomba every day is transforming this life from being drained down by the assessing, critical conversation in the head to a life being lived in lit-up.
I’m working on a project – an English learning game – using a ten-minute timer. I set the timer going, and ask: what do we want to say to our friends in Kantolomba learning English, from the pre-schoolers to the grownups? We want to cheer them on and encourage them with every fiber of our being, to say you can do it. Go for it.
Every day, I get to receive all that loving mentoring as I work on the project. Every day, I am astounded at what Life can do in ten minutes through a willing human when we make ourselves available to it. Every day, I am lit-up by what’s possible when we’re living in a loving, mentoring conversation.
The entire Living Compassion project in Kantolomba IS love and mentoring. It is a beacon of what’s possible when we’re living in a loving, mentoring conversation.
I walk in gratitude for every one of us who participates in Living Compassion, Kantolomba – all beacons of what’s possible when we live in lit-up. Walking together. Life cheering on, encouraging, mentoring Life.
In gassho,
