Have you ever watched the “First 100 Children” video on the Living Compassion website? If you haven’t, or if it’s been a while, or even if it hasn’t been a while!, you must. It is moving. In fact, I will keep this short so you have time to hop over and view it: http://www.livingcompassion.org/africa/the-first-100-children
I thought of it because of a group of photos Theresa sent last week. For folks who don’t know, Theresa writes a weekly blog with updates on the happenings in Kantolomba. http://www.livingcompassion.org/africa/news
When she sent the photo below my jaw nearly dropped: “That’s Aggie!”
The young woman on the far right was six years old when we met her in 2006, among the first 100 children. You’ll easily spot her in the video—the first photo when it starts scrolling through individual shots. In fact, to get the whole history, visit the blog from the day we took those photos: http://www.livingcompassion.org/africa/blog/thursday-july-20-2006
Those 100 pre-schoolers are now adolescents, well on their way to being adults. It is an honor and an adventure to participate in that journey.
As Cheri said recently, “We have a BIG family!”
Thanks for being in the family.
In Gassho,
Jen
