Here is a fun Awareness and Attention exercise to sharpen your practice and enhance your enjoyment of this yummy soup:

  • Take a bite of the soup. 
  • Bring your attention to the various flavors in your mouth. 
  • Move your attention first to the cantaloupe, then a blueberry, next the yogurt. 
  • Notice what it's like to direct the attention while you eat.
  • Extra Credit:  Move your attention to the field of awareness.  What does having attention on awareness do to your experience of eating?  Record and Listen.

Summer Fruit Soup
2 2/3 cups orange juice 
7 1/3 cups fat-free yogurt
2 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
4 cups berries (blackberries or other berries) frozen
4 cups summer fruit (peaches, nectarines, cantaloupe, and/or organic strawberries)
2 pinches cinnamon
2 pinches nutmeg

1.     Whisk together orange juice and yogurt.
2.     Add remaining ingredients and chill until served.    

Serves 8.
